Harapaki Wind Farm, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand

Emperor™ Flexi-Strap™ Used in Sunrise Offshore Wind Farm

The Sunrise Wind Offshore Wind Farm in the USA is a groundbreaking project to deliver renewable electricity to nearly 600,000 households by 2025, utilising a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) system.

Golden Eagle offshore platform, Nexan

Located 70 km northeast of Aberdeen, Golden Eagle is the second largest oil discovery in the UK North Sea since Buzzard was discovered in 2001.

Joint Bay Cable Support Structure

Ellis were approached by a customer who required a cable support solution in a joint bay. Space was limited and a number of cables needed to be accommodated for. The structures would be required to be supplied in kit form to be assembled on site, due to site and shipping restrictions.

Siemens Helwin 2 Offshore Windfarm

The requirement was to feed seven 117mm diameter cables along a specified route within a fabricated structure, which featured a significant number of twists and turns. The problem was that there was no existing product that would enable the cables to be installed in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner.

Subsea Termination Clamp Brackets

Ellis were approached by a company who supply joints and protective housings to repair offshore subsea cables. The company had a design for the outer housing and the joint but required a solution for supporting the cable within the housing.
