Ellis Patents was founded in York in the North of England in the early 1960s to design and manufacture specialised electrical cable cleats and pipe fixings which were and still are marketed to all the major electrical utilities as well as to HVAC distribution companies in the U.K.

The Company moved to its present site in Rillington in 1974 and since the mid 1990s has expanded substantially through the development of new technology and the extensive ability to meet the requirements of the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Construction and HVAC industries. Today, the modern site covers an area of 3,000 square metres which provides an up-to-date and efficient environment for the production of plastic injection mouldings, tool-making, assembly, stock holding and specialist packaging.
