Severn Tunnel Electrification, Network Rail

Ellis patents were involved in the Network Rail project to electrify the Severn Tunnel. The requirement was for a solution to carry the insulated ATF cable. An added complication was the aggressive conditions within the tunnel and the requirement for a 40 year product design life.
