Ellis has been officially certified and awarded Fit For Nuclear (F4N) status. The prestigious recognition demonstrates the company’s capability to meet the exacting standards and requirements of the UK civil nuclear industry.
Developed by the Nuclear AMRC and now delivered by NucCol, the F4N programme helps UK manufacturers measure their operations against the standards demanded by the nuclear supply chain and drives continuous improvement. Achieving certification is a significant milestone that places Ellis among a select group of companies recognised for excellence in quality, safety and reliability.
Our MD, Danny Macfarlane said, “Receiving Fit For Nuclear certification reflects the hard work, disciplined processes and technical expertise across the whole Ellis team. This recognition confirms that our systems, from design and testing to manufacture and supply chain management, meet the stringent demands of the nuclear sector and supports our ambition to contribute to safe, low-carbon energy projects”
Ellis’s certification followed a comprehensive assessment that covered leadership, strategy, operations and supply chain management. The result confirms that Ellis’s design, testing and manufacturing practices align with the expectations of the nuclear industry.
With F4N certification in place, Ellis is well positioned to support the UK’s nuclear programmes from new build and maintenance projects to the broader national drive towards low-carbon energy.
During the recent Nuclear Supply Chain Summit, hosted by NucCol on 21st October, John Hilton-Brammer, Senior Supply Chain Consultant at NucCol, presented the certificate to Chris Davies, Ellis’ Business Development Manager. He said:
“Everyone at NucCol extends their congratulations to the entire team at Ellis Patents on this fantastic achievement - a testament to their innovation, quality, and commitment to advancing to the clean energy future.”
