Ellis Patents, originally founded in York in the early 1960’s, produces plastic injection mouldings for industrial customers as well as its own range of cable and pipe fixings. The Company has occupied a two acre site in Rillington, North Yorkshire since 1974.
Modern buildings covering an area of 2000 sq m provide a clean and efficient environment for the production of both mould tooling and plastic components. Ellis Patents has established close working relationships over a number of years with a broad base of customers including many major names in the transportation, engineering, construction and consumer durable sectors.
Ellis Patents actively supports customers through the early stages of a project with advice on design and material selection to ensure that the most cost effective and practical solutions are found.
By acting in conjunction with our customer’s design team, Ellis Patents ensures that the finished components provide optimum performance.
Ellis Patents enjoys close links with material supplies and has extensive experience of a wide range of engineering plastics including reinforced and flame retardant Nylons as well as special non-halogenated flame retardants suitable for exceptional fire safety applications.
Ellis Patents gives prominence to customer service in all aspects of its operations, with a sustained program of investment in people, technology and training. Having an experience team of toolmakers in our own toolroom enables tooling to be produced under controlled conditions that ensure that projects are monitored at all times and delivery promises met.
We ensure our realistic lead times are achieved and also undertake scheduled and timed deliveries for our customers. We are also able to serve companies operating Just-In-Time systems.
