STUART TAKES THE HELM OF ELLIS’ UK SALES

Stuart HelmThe world’s leading cable cleat manufacturer, Ellis has appointed Stuart Helm as its new national sales manager.

Stuart, who previously worked as product sales manager for Deep Sea Electronics, will work under Ellis’ global sales director, Tony Conroy and will take responsibility for Ellis’ UK sales presence. The role includes identifying and developing new sales opportunities, and working with the North Yorkshire company’s existing customer base.

Commenting on his new position, Stuart said: “Ellis has a well-deserved, strong reputation in the marketplace and has worked on some of the most prestigious, yet challenging power and infrastructure projects worldwide. As the market leader in this field, it was an easy decision to make when offered the position of national sales manager.”

“Coming from a sales background where offering standard product was always the order of the day, it was refreshing to hear of Ellis’ positive stance on bespoke product development. To have the option to promote both standard and customised products, for unique applications was music to my ears.”

Ellis’ UK sales currently account for 50 per cent of the company’s annual £7-million turnover. The company works closely with a number of key distributors, including ETS Cable Components and MacLean Electrical, and has an active CPD programme, both online and off, that is opening doors with consulting engineers and EPC contractors.

Tony Conroy, Ellis’ global sales director, added: “It doesn’t matter how good your product is, or how strong your reputation, if you don’t have a high quality sales team on-board – and Stuart has the skillset and drive to make a major success of this role.”
