Press release Apache Twister
ELLIS GIVES A NEW TWIST TO ITS APACHE PIPE CLAMPS
Ellis, the plumbing products division of market leading electrical cable and pipe fixing manufacturer, Ellis Patents, has improved the installer-friendliness of its Apache pipe clamps by launching the Apache Twister – a quick-fit enhancement for the range’s threaded rod pipe hanger clamp.
The new fitting replaces the traditional time-consuming channel nut assembly. A simple twist locks the Twister into position in the channel and it is then ready to accept the threaded rod. This development means both types of Apache, direct-fit into channel and threaded rod hanger, now have quick-fit status.
Richard Shaw, managing director of Ellis, said: “Ever since we introduced the quick-fit mechanism to the direct-fit clamps we’ve received positive feedback on how it increases the speed and ease of installation. Our intention is that the Twister will replicate this on the threaded rod side of the range, making Apache the most user-friendly and easy to install range of pipe clamps on the market.”
Manufactured wholly in the UK, the Apache range is supplied exclusively through BSS and is available in 16 sizes. All products in the range are suitable for metric pipes ranging from 15mm to 171mm and imperial pipes from ˝“ to 6 ” bore. This flexibility is further enhanced by the product’s ratchet design that enables each clamp to accommodate a range of different pipe sizes. Additionally, the robustness of the product design and its good chemical resistance ensure its longevity.
The new Twister fits 41 x 41 and 41 x 21 channel and accepts M10 threaded rod.
